June 24, 2026he Kinnigoli Deanery organised a media training programme on Digitalisation, Parish Communication, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), bringing together priests, religious, and parish communication representatives to strengthen the Church's digital communication ministry.
The programme focused on helping participants effectively use digital platforms for evangelisation and parish engagement while remaining rooted in Christian values. Sessions highlighted the growing importance of communication as a vital pastoral ministry that connects the faithful and shares the life of the Church.
A key highlight was the introduction to Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications in Church communication. Participants explored how AI can assist in writing news reports, creating social media content, designing posters and presentations, generating images, and improving communication workflows. The training also emphasised ethical AI usage, encouraging participants to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and responsible content creation.
The workshop encouraged every parish to build active communication teams capable of documenting parish events, preserving local Church history, and sharing inspiring stories with the wider community. Practical sessions on digital storytelling, photography, social media management, and content publishing equipped participants with skills to enhance parish outreach.
The programme concluded with a call to embrace technology responsibly in the service of the Gospel. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to using digital media creatively and ethically to strengthen parish communication, foster community engagement, and advance the Church's mission of evangelisation in the digital age.
