Parish Community Day aka “SAMUDAYECHO DEES”, preparation for this day began with a four day retreat on Tuesday the 16th, of August 2016 from 3.00 PM till 6.00PM, on Friday the last day of retreat Confessions were held with the priests from different parishes, Simultaneously Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament was also held and ended with the Holy Mass at 6.30PM, Rev. Fr. Boniface Pinto conducted the four day retreat.
On the 20th, of August, the Parishners gathered at Church Premises at 8.00 PM in mini hall for the preparation of next day’s meals, with their knives and cutting boards, under the supervision of Food Committee.
Kinnigoli : Parish Community Day celebrated on the 21st, August 2016, herein Kinnigoli Church. Parishioners offered a thanksgiving mass for the favors received through Immaculate Conception, the Patron of the Parish. Rev.Fr. Boniface Pinto concelebrated the mass along with Rev.Fr. Vincent Monteiro, Parish Priest of Kinnigoli Church, Fr. George Crasta, Asst.Parish Priest of Kinnigoli Church, Rev, Fr. Sunil Pinto Principal Of St. Mary’s Central School, Rev. Fr. Ashok Rayan Crasta and Rev. Fr. Sunil D’Souza
A stage programme and cultural program was organized in the Church Hall. Rev. Fr. Vincent Monteiro presided over the function. Fr. Boniface Pinto was the chief Guest also present on the dias were Rev. Fr. Sunil D’Souza. Parish Council Vice President Mr. Vincent D’Souza Secretary Mr. Robert Lobo, SCC coordinator Mr. Michael pinto and Sr. Vithalis, Superior of Mary wale Convent.
Ward Gurkars werehonored, a special tribute was awarded to the three dignitaries for their achievement in their respective fields, they were Dr. Clement Coutinho, Mr. Naveen Kurmbil and Mrs. Shaila Sequeira. While congratulating the Kinnigoli Parishioners for the Parish Community Day Fr. Boniface Pinto said that several times he has visited Kinnigoli Parish. He said that he has observed full of talents, unity and co-operation among the Parishioners, Here People are god-fearing and faith in the religion.
In his Presidential address Fr.Vincent Monteiro, Parish Priest of the Church said that today parishioners came together whole heartedly to celebrate this memorable occasion. Several committees were formed and every committee has discharged their duty very well. He appealed to the parishioners to come together and join hand for the welfare and betterment of the Parish.
Mr. Vincent D’souza, vice president of the Parish welcomed the guests. Fr.George Crasta, Asst. Parish Priest Presented the annual report with the power point visuals. Mr.Robert Lobo, Secretary of the Parish proposed vote of thanks. Miss.Sujan D’Souza and Master. Stephen compered the programme. The programme was ended with a delicious family meal prepared by the parishioners.
