INFANT JESUS WARD FEAST ON 11/01/2015

Infant Jesus ward members celebrated their ward feast on 11th of January 2015, by offering solemn mass at 7 a.m. in Kinnigoli Parish. Thereafter, the ward members gathered at Mr. Jerome Prakash Serrao’s residence to celebrate their ward feast at 12 noon, under the leadership of Mrs. Ivy Aranha, Gurkar.
Our Parish Priest, Rev Fr Vincent Monteiro presided over the function. Our Asst Parish Priest, Rev
Fr Ashok Ryan Crasta, Vice President of Parish Council Mr. Vincent D’Souza, Director of S.C.C. Mr Michael Pinto were the Chief Guests. Mr Robert Lobo Secretary of Parish Council, Sr. Vithalis Superior of Maryvale Convent, Sr. Hope, Sr. Honora , Mr Eric Pais graced the occasion and enchanced our joy.
The Programme started with a Prayer dance by ward children, followed by Welcome Skit. Mrs. Ivy Aranha welcomed the gathering and offered flowers to the guests. The Annual Report was presented by our Secretary, Mrs Helen D’Souza.
Ward Children enlightened the gathering by Action Song, Moral based skit whereas elders put them into laughter by enacting a joke. Mr Rudalph Fernandes conducted the Quiz and prizes were distributed to the winners. The Children excelled in academic, catechism and sports were honoured.
Our Vicar congratulated the ward members for our efforts in the church and also in the ward. Our chief guests also congratulated for our active involvement and also wished all the success in the future.
Mrs Philomena Sequeira, Gurkar of Sacred Heart ward, Mr Vincent D’Costa and Mrs Celine D’Souza Representatives graced our occasion.
Mrs Sharmila Patrao compered the programme. Mrs Valentina D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.
At the end, everyone enjoyed delicious lunch prepared by the ward members.
